SeaDarQ representative in China - Sunic-Ocean - participated in a Oil Spill Emergency Workshop in Qingdao. Organized by Chinese MSA, the initiative aims to enhance a cooperation between IMO, IPIECA and MSA on preparedness and response to oil spills, and to promote China’s capability-building against marine oil spills. Li Guobin, who is a member of ISCO Executive Committee and the SeaDarQ agent presented the most recent development in the field of oil spill response equipment.
The well-established oil spill detection system with radar – SeaDarQ conducted a live demonstration in partnership with the University of Miami Rosenstiel School of Marine and Atmospheric Science in Miami, Florida. Hosted by NortekUSA, this technical demonstration including a simulated spill using popcorn, has once again proven SeaDarQ’s capability to detect oil in various locations and weather conditions. The operation was attended by visitors from the US and the Caribbean.
NortekUSA will host a technical demonstration of the SeaDarQ oil spill detection and hydrography radar in Miami, 16-17 May.
The network of SeaDarQ distributors expanded with new representatives in United Kingdom, Spain, Germany and United States.
